SALSA VERDE AL MOLCAJETE

Sharing this delicious salsa verde recipe made by my hubby!



So yeah cooking is my life! When I’m not cooking I’m recording my family cooking 😂 I think I might be driving them just a little crazy 🤣 (just kidding, they love me 🥰 😆)


All jokes aside… my hubby crushed it with this salsa verde recipe! 😋 (haha you get the pun?).

It’s the perfect salsa for tacos! 🌮


Ingredients:

3 small GARLIC CLOVES

1/4 pc ONION

6 TOMATILLOS

2 SERRANO PEPPERS

1/4 cup CILANTRO chopped

SALT

PEPPER


Instructions:

1-Toast the GARLIC CLOVES, ONION, TOMATILLOS and SERRANO PEPPERS in a comal or skillet over medium heat. Make sure to turn them occasionally to toast evenly.


2-Remove the vegetales from the comal once they get soft. The tomatillos will change to a darker green when ready. Set aside.


3-Add the garlic cloves and onion to the molcajete. Crush with the molcajete handle until it creates a paste like consistency.


4-Add and crush the tomatillos. A couple at a time. Now crush the serrano peppers.


5-Sprinkle the cilantro over the salsa. Salt and pepper to taste. Mix with a spoon.
