MOM'S SALSA DE MOLCAJETE

Welcome back food family!


It's been a while since I've had mom's salsa de molcajete so I called her to get the recipe, #LetsGoaCocinar! I think it turned out delicious!!!



I hope you enjoy it as much as we did at home.


Ingredients:

4 Chile de Árbol

3 Garlic Cloves

1/4 pc Onion

3 Serranos

4 Tomatillos

3 Tomatoes

1/4 cup Water

Salt to taste


Instructions:

1-Toast all ingredients in a skillet or comal til toasty and soft.


2-Transfer the CHILE DE ARBOL to the molcajete. Mash until it turns powder like in the molcajete.


3- Add the GARLIC CLOVES and ONION and mash.


4-Add 1/4 cup WATER to the molcajete. Use the handle to mix all the ingredients in a circular motion.


5-Add and mash the remaining ingredients (SERRANOS, TOMATILLOS, TOMATOES) one at a time.


6-SALT to taste.
